Bedding in brake pads

Just had new front pads fitted ( car has PCCB). Are there any special bedding in procedures or just normal driving ?
 
^^good response^^ He should advise if asked or should have advised if you need to treat them in a special way from new.

In general over the many pad changes to many cars I've had, gently does it for a few miles, esp if he only changed the pads and kept the old discs.
Surprised he did not change the discs at the same time?
The new flat pads need to be eased into the surface grooves of the old disc. to maximize the surface area between them when braking.
Some very high performance pads need a very different approach but the packaging usually gives advice from the manufacturer.

I changed the front pads and discs on my 987.2 4 years back with standard parts and the brakes felt perfect straight away.

All a bit like running in a new car, same thing.
 
Unless you’ve received different instructions or there’s more information available in your Driver’s Manual, I would follow the advice above. I don’t believe that PCCBs are any different from standard cast iron discs in that respect.

you can do 3 or 4 100mph stops to about 40mph to set the pad and glue in them and gas them out. I always do. Don't let ABS cut in and remember to cool them after 4 stops like that on a longer run before parking up.

I would not have used oem pads though, new EU rules and the pads are like chocolate now days with much less bite. RSC1 or MX are the goto pads on PCCB.
A pad like the RSC1 you can buy now pre bedded and cured even for a little extra money.

But yes def worth a few high speed stops like I have instructed.
