ORIGINAL: metric_thumbs

Oh!! Thanks for the commenst about the Carrera.

A couple of details on sticky owners thread at the top the 924 forum.

The car came from a dealer - not an estate sale.

Wow, I really like the 924 Carrera GT there's something about the looks of them that make them look so special one day I might get one.

Thanks for the comments on the 944 and my 911. I shall keep my future porsche questions to the 996 forum from now on.....

Right on John! I`m with you on this ;ever since Porsche went downmarket and mainstream I`ve been increasingly depressed by the comments of some of the people on here regarding making a fast buck. And yes, it`s late I`ve got a glass next to me (I`m probably one of the middle class boozers the Guardian is so worried about), but I do live up the road from a vineyard ( not mine unfortunately).

PS regarding the value of your "mint" 944 Vron, buy it and put it on ebay then cry your eyes out when some chav offers you 500 quid. It`s not about money.

Honestly, what sort of reaction did she expect?

A cursery glance through back copies of PP and Autotrader/Pistonheads would have answered the question anyway, without insulting us lot[8|]

What I find really depressing is the threads about spec on pistonheads etc. Usually go along the lines of "must have sat-nav" or "would red seat belts look good with the grey interior". I used to think spec'ing a sports car was about things like have you got enough dosh for the LSD, sports suspension, sports exhaust etc.

I wonder just how many ppl spec the Sat Nav purely for resale purposes?
