ORIGINAL: j4mou

offer declined, and I wont pay more than that. I didnt mention the cat c, as he said it had been stolen recovered, he didnt mention an insurance marker.

this is the car;

Upholstery would be enough to knock the price down for me.....[:'(]

Seriously, I've heard of a Cat C on a stolen-recovered before that was certainly not banana-shaped. A new set of locks and, say, repairs to a badly damaged door handle could push the repair bill right up with recovery, courtesy cars and everything else. A light knock to a wing and bumper is enough to write a 944 off now if you work out the cost of brand new parts and the way insurers value the car if you haven't got an agreed-value policy.

Paul i agree with you....Not at all nice....

back to the second option, slightly cheaper but a lot further away. 944 man is going to fetch it for me this week :)

This is actually a very nice upholstery (got the same in my silver S2 [:)]) but it looks just wrong in a red car.

I saw a red S2 with that upholstery a couple of years back (I think my indie inspected it for Phil I) and I actually quite liked it with sport bolsters.

Good move not buying it though; too many questions, an additional one being if a pro did the respray why would they have fitted the badge in the wrong place, and if the owner was an enthusiast why were they happy with the badge fitted wrong? I place quite a disproportionate importance on minor stuff like that because if someone is happy to have something obvious and easy done wrong then what else are they slapdash with, or alternatively how little do they know about the car?
