This is a petty question as always buy on condition I know ..... the 64rs boys sadly often debate this one, just wondering were the 944 crowd as sad ....[&o]

Think we have found a car ...... [:)]

The nicest colour I've seen on a 944 (apart from red and black obviously[;)]) was Saphire metallic, a kind of very light blue silver metallic, looked great. Alas mine is champagne gold, but also a great colour.

I like Baltic Blue. Great colour and not one I see often. I was originally looking for one in white.

Now you've really asked for it on here!!

General consensus is that Guards Red is faster (!)

I'd have preferred Baltic Blue with Linen, but ended up with Alpine White which I'm v happy with...easy to spot the rust early on, then bodywork repairs blend in well (unless you get the wrong white!!!)

Anything other than green... you don't see many in green... probably for good reason, because the only one I saw really didn't work!

rubystone? [;)]

My fave is white - so I got a red one [:D]

Some of the light metallics work very well on the 944, black is also good, in fact, just about anything looks good to me [:D] I'm more fussy about interiors - don't like blue, burgundy or grey plastics, although I think these are more common on S2's. Black is much better.

my least favourite colour is the rusty one that appears on the sills....

Red or White is best for the full '80s feel, put on yer braces and stick some Rick Astley on the Cassette player and you are well away....

My first one was Crystal Green Metallic - and it looked great! [:)]
However I bought on condition - and this was the very best I found at that time - it was a Hartech car and they really had gone through it with a fine tooth-comb.

Given the choice I'd go for black of course. [:D]

Dark blue.

Memories of a car my dad had in the late 80's, before the 3.2 carrera (which is now all mine !)

White is my first choice then maritime blue followed by cobalt blue.I've always like the light yellow (summer yellow ??) but have only ever seen 2 S models in this colour, always fancied a turbo in summer yellow but i dont think they were avalible ??

White, but then again I'm biased.

I'm toying with the idea of converting my S2 into a fully-fledged race car for the 2010 CSCC Future Classics series/PCGB Championship...in which case it'll be painted GT3 RS Orange! :)

I quite like whatever colour mine is (although it's not original)

OK... so now I have seen one, heard of another, and seen a photo of another green 944... making such a statement was kind of gauranteed to get such a response on here wasn't it... a bit like Scotty's signature line is going to get some-one asking where he got his completely-standard clear indicator lenses from[:D]

:ROFLMAO: Nice one Tref, I did mention this in another post but Scotty chose to ignore it then too.

Slightly OT.....I can't think of any car that looks better in white than red........no - correction ....my beloved Scirocco GTX in Alpine White with black trim and skirts and wheel arches(standard)[;)] did look better than the red with red bumpers etc
