Big Blacks

Try OPC's Reading seems to be one of the most forthcomming with reasonable deals from what I remember.

Somebody please tell me, What are Big Blacks.

If they are brake calipers then I think I have them fitted (they are black and very big)

I doubt it.

Big Blacks are the same as Big Reds but black. IIRC Big reds were fitted to the 993 twin turbo Big Blacks were fitted to the 928 GTS. Neither were fitted to a 944 unless the owner upgraded them. Within known circles that would be Rick, Fen and Andrew's old car.

Not sure Fen has them - but no doubt he will fill us in , the red car that featured in GTPP had them, he used to post on titanic as well, all that I know of have gone down the red route though. They only fit under 17" wheels or larger so if you have 16's definately not.
All late turbo's have reasonably big blacks from the 928 S4 as standard

We do need a good nickname for our brakes. Most people call them the S4 brakes but I do like 'reasonably big blacks' [:D]

Tony's right - I still have "reasonably big blacks". Fully big blacks are on my shopping list - after standing around for 2 1/2 years there is a good possibility the calipers will not be in the rudest of health.

So that would make mine reasonably big reds [:D]

BTW I'm still pretty keen on an RS2 - big reds being a popular mod on them. I wonder if Adrian will do me a bulk discount?

On the bright side I'd have a set of reasonably big reds (factory red [;)]) and a set of reasonably big blacks to sell on.

Which type are these? (if you can tell from the photo)

They are big, black and stop very quick.

I do not intend to change these (maybe a coat of paint for appearance)

I would like to know what they are for replacing pads.
