BilStein Shocks !!!

Well a fellow 964 enthusiast has kindly bought them from me. He is confident of the Bilstein build quality (as i am!) and has no issue with a colour difference. He had tried to order the identical parts from Pelican and drew a blank and therefore did not pursue a purchase with them any further, so was more than happy to take them from me.
So in a bizzare sort of way two happy customers!! me [:D] because i can start from scratch with my money back in my wallet and him [:D] because he has his shocks from Pelican which someone else had to ordered for him!
I will be fitting Bilsteins hopefully next month, after which i'll post up with some before and after pics.
Thanks for the replies and support [;)]

Paul, now you are back to square one there is a set of lightly used H&R coilovers in the for sale section if they are of interest to you. I've heard good things about this set up and would have gone for them myself but they won't fit my pre-91 car.

Paul,
Glad you got it sorted in the end. I'll pass on your 'report back' to my brother to give to Frank - I will be interested to hear what a Bilstein employee's final say would be on all this.

Rich

P.S. In case anyone's wondering who Frank is, take a look at the long conversation I had with Paul over at Rennlist. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=407463

I have that set-up on my car and its great.. a little harsh for some people but i think its a really good comprimise for the road and occasional track work, and it really surprises me sometimes just how flat and hard it corners on smoother a roads.. its also very smooth on motorways and longer journeys

Hi Guys,
Back to square one but not the drawing board! Thanks for the offer Steve, but I'll be sticking with my original choice of shocks, however i'll be buying from the UK! This time the shocks will be all the same colour !! with the latest triple 'c' silver coating and M030 springs. I'll be replacing the front lower wishbones with refurbs fitted with RS bushes at the same time. I don't doubt Bilstein's quality at all and thats why i still intend to purchase them only this time it won't be from Pelican!
Here's looking forward to the new ride !!

Thanks Nathan .... a lot of hastle ..... happy days in the end!!

Good spot Dave. They'll be a harsher ride than i'm after, plus i'll be far more contented if i replace with new. Thanks [;)]
