Dick Lovett has spraymaster in swindon. I am sure they would be good, if expensive. I took my sc there for a bare metal repaint quote and they never sent me one so I couldn't comment on the quality.....

Does any know / have a trusted body shop?

I've just taken the outer sills from my 3.2 to find a couple of rust bubbles on the inner sills. Metal still seems good but just need some advice.

Thanks

This is probably too late in the day now but just seen your post. I can recommend an excellent body shop in Southampton area. They also do all the local Indy Porsche bodyshop work so that should tell you something. Personally I have used them a few times on my other family cars with perfect results.

Could Gordon Attar and RB1 let em know the names of their recommendations? I am still to decide on who relieves me of my hard earned for a bare metal job......My prices so far range from £4,000 to a £25,000 guesstimate from Porsche Classic which is a) more than I've got and b) probably over-egging a lowly sc.

Quotes seem a bit much for just Sill work.

What's the total work your asking quotes for and I will get a rough estimate.

Apologies for the late reply - Try Andrew Cawte bodyshop - I have got to know him quite well as he has worked on many of my family and friends vehicles and also told me recently he does the bodywork for the local Porsche Independant dealer. He is not large but a real craftsman and has all the equiment including ovens etc. he is based in Shirley Southampton. Details are here.
