Boost levels?

With valves modification to the profile over the years has been a hot subject. In particular there are modifications which can be used to allow you to use a cam with more overlap while controlling flow direction and reducing low rpm backflow during the cycle. As for valve mods to improve swirl, its one of those things that it would be interesting to experiment with.

Are these the valves that were around 20+ years ago with a groove machined into the face of the inlet valve to limit back flow during overlap and a step on the back of the exhaust valve that supposedly reduced exhaust backflow ?.

Your probably thinking of the Rimflow valves which were often in vogue in the late 80's which are a good idea on paper, never had a chance to test any Rimflow's. There are very similar things that can be done but I need to keep some things close to my chest.

about the same time as I found myself loosing traction at 120 mph as it happens!
No wonder my rear tyres are always bald after a service [;)]
Just kidding - they are always fine

After experiencing that once there is only two times I will push the throttle all the way down on one of our 3.2 944 Turbo hybrids and thats if (1) the engine is switched off or (2) the car is strapped down to a dyno!

That's them, couldn't rember the name, think there was an issue with carbon build up that needed removing fairly often to maintain the benefit.

Just thought I would bump up this post to ask how far you have been with the custom intake.

Any news on this?
