Boxster Insurance Quotes

The only trouble with Admiral is that they define anything other than the absolute bog standard spec (which nobody ever buys) as "Modifications". So metallic paint, wheels bigger than the standard and all the other options that your car has (which many people probably didn't know were options) are defined as "modifications". If people haven't spotted this, I suggest people read their definitions in their full terms and conditions, and in their quote process click on the list for modifications. Their contract insists that in the event of damage they will only return your vehicle to standard spec if you haven't declared the modifications. They might not work like this in practice, but I won't go with them for this reason. For my age Saga offer a similarly competitive price without all these caveats.

Are Locktons the guys who will agree a set value for the car should it be written off? If so, perhaps that explains something, not sure what though. I'm with Admiral below £300 for two drivers and 8000 miles a year.

these are the included benefits
  • Agreed value cover available
  • Legal Expenses cover
  • Nominate your own repairer in the event of a claim
  • Where available only genuine Porsche parts will be used following a claim
  • UK & European Breakdown cover
  • Salvage Retention rights
  • No excess for total loss claims
  • Up to 90 days cover in the EU during any one period of insurance
  • Underwritten by a leading High Net Worth Insurer
  • No administration fee charged for any changes throughout the year
  • Dedicated Account Manager

When I was getting quotes for my 991 Gen 2 C4S, I found out that "Agreed Value" means what a dealer will value the car at and requires a written confirmation from a dealer to support it. So if you are thinking that it means you can continue to insure for example a 5 year old Boxster for what it cost when new, that's not the case. I just renewed with Porsche Insurance now managed by Carbon Insurance Brokers the quote from Lockton was more than double what I renewed at.

Try classic line - have come.up trumps on previous quotes.
I had 4 cars with Lockton's the Porsche favoured brokerage - I now have 4 cars with Classic Line and have saved a small fortune plus Lockton's wanted a tracker fitted on the Spyder and Classic Line not only didn't want a tracker but their insurers were a further £25k up the valuation road before requiring one

Classic Line 10/10 for customer service and competitive pricing

Lockton's sadly are in a parallel universe price wise to everyone else out there

I had three cars on a multi car policy with Admiral, but the renewal after the first year went through the roof.

I ended up with two cars with Esure, 10% discount for multicar, so much cheaper than Admiral.

Went on to Marsh Porsche insurance Via Aviva to get a quote for my son who is thinking of buying a Porsche ,was told they no longer have the Porsche franchise and cannot quote for new Porsche business but can quote existing customers if they choose to renew to take out another policy.
The new company is called Carbon who I also phoned to find out how I stood as I have a Porsche policy with Marsh ,was told the policy is O-K and I was covered and when it was time to renew they would happily quote me still with Porsche underwritten via Aviva but for the moment cannot quote for new business but come Feb /March may be in a position to do so .
This seems a strange position obviously Porsche have opted for a new business partner

Problem is in most cases insurance companies are buying your.business on first.quotes. When renewal comes around most heave the price up and hope you won't Shop around. Does any one know a company.that run a loyalty scheme???

I have four cars with Admiral and they do try to bump it up when you renew. If you get quotes from other companies and go back to them they will reduce the cost, think they slashed something like 40%
of mine. I thought their final price was competitive.
