Boxster Pse valve repair

You can replace the valve actuators individually for around £120ea.

i did on my 987.2CS last year - have a read of this thread on it in the caymanOC site. I was told by OPC that 987 valve could not be bought separately and I’d need to buy whole muffler for £ks. So I bought a 997 actuator from the same OPC, and guess what - it had the EXACT same pierburg part no. on it as the broken one that I removed…. 🤨🤷‍♂️ https://www.caymanoc.com/forums/topic/2122-pse-issues-9872s/?page=2

i know yours is a 981, so perhaps check if a 991 valve actuator is available to buy separately. i think on a 981 you may not even need to remove the rear bumper to access the 3 nuts that hold the valve on.

I had a valve actuator replaced under extended warranty (981 Cayman S) a few years back, the vacuum line connection on the diaphragm unit had snapped
