You can buy solar car chargers - they even come with a cigarette lighter plug already fitted. The likes of Maplin and CPC sell them; here's an example from CPC for £46 - ex VAT.

Boxster S - Starting Problems (Again)

Ok I've given in ..... Car is currently with its Maker (Porsche that is)
Battery completely flat again. Put on charge ... said it was full. Tried engine, turn 1 - nothiung, turn 2 - nothing, turn 3 - nothing, turn 4 - car starts.
The non working turns didn't even turn the starter ... thats not right and could be the cause of the current drain.
If the battery is no good, they will replace under warranty, if its a current drain, they need to work out what it is ....
The clock is running ......

UPDATE
Ok .... After I had charged up the car, and driven it to Porsche ... the verdict on the battery was that it was OK (tester said 80% charge, 30% condition - not great), so they said I couldn't have a battery under warranty :0(
But my intermittant starting problem remained, so I agreed to leave the car there.
Next morning they ringe me to tell me that this morning, the battery was flat again (what a suprise) and that I could now have a battery under-warranty :0)
(Aside, for information, to claim a new battery I had to provide my receipt, and my MOT certificate to prove I had driven more than 85 miles a month, which I had)
They never fitted the battery in the first place, but they replaced it under warranty anyway (ok its not a difficult job).
BUT the current draw remains. The next thing to check was the Ignition Switch. A good candidate, since there is the starting issue, and also an Airbag warning that shows up occasionally (when the battery was flat).
Changing the Switch has cured the drain problem .... now only 20mA ! and the car starts first time, and the Airbag says its OK (both on the dash and the Porsche Tester)
They are keping the car until the weekend just to check things don't drain again
Hopefully this has fixed the car.
Cheers
Tim

I would imagine the airbag light is just a symptom of low battery voltage, and is perfectly OK. Lots of electrical warnings and curious happenings when batteries are goosed. At least you have a new battery and the change of ignition switch should bring a bit more confidence in the car again []
