Dan, Thanks for that very detailed post. It's a contract - just like any other contract and as such its terms and conditions must be fair and reasonable, otherwise they are unenforceable. That's really all I'm saying. I do not believe the courts would uphold a denial to pay the cost of a replacement engine simply because the brake pads are not OEM. Clearly, each must take their own view on such matters, but I'm certainly not letting it ruin the way in which I will be using my motorcar. Regards, Clive
