Brakes - the troubles continue

I drive only at Spa and since 2009 (that's a total of 9 track days) I have not changed my brake pads (which are stock, nothing fancy) and brake disks (again, standard 993 Cup, which are standard turbo?).

There are some cracks by now, of course, but nothing scarry.

I don't brake [;)][;)]

....that´s what I tried....[]

Seriously, I had two mates racing a 964Rs in the 90s, sharing the car in endurance competitions. One guy never had a problem with the brakes, the other one complaining about a soft pedal and brakes at their limit - lap times almost equal. So the driving style made the difference.

I think you´ve done everything now (bias valve - no experience here, always worked), brakes are vented, now it should work.

Good luck,

Hacki

P.S.: Don´t listen if anybody says "Don´t brake" or stuff like that - no matter where he comes from, Belgium, England, whatsoever

Seriously though, Spa is comparatively light on the brakes. I have had a few moments (one of them documented by Charles recently) when the brakes were so cold with no bite that I overshot at the chicane.

defo down to different circuits,i find at the ring you do very litlle braking compared to my local track, mondello park..which is why my brakes were shot, but after probably 3 years use 20k inc 295km autobahn blasts...great brakes to get back to sensible speeds[:D]

Thanks Hacki - good advice - I'm possibly just hard on brakes. As you say, I've now done everything, so I'll have to see how I get on.
