Brands Register Display Material

Nick & Paul,

Do you need any material for the register display at Brands?

We can prepare some laminated A4 prints if this is of any help.

Can also bring a lap top to run photo slide shows or Pauls video's (if he can get us a copy on disc) if someone has an inverter spare.

John

That would be excellent (i.e. both prints and laptop). If anyone has a racing game I'm sure we could put that to good use as well!

regards
Nick

Nick,

Will get onto it today.

Re: Racing Games

Too much hassle man. All mine (and any of any calibre) need a steering wheel, so you need a seat, something to fix the steering wheel too, something to support the PC etc. Also, having hosted a PC racing event, it is stunning how violent people can get with other peoples steering wheels. I afraid that I'm not willing to subject my equipment to that sort of abuse again.

I have an invertor, will try and get a disc together.

I wont bring need for speed Porsche then (it has 944's in it). I would ask you to look after a 'back up' copy for me but it seems impossible to copy.

Whilst always useful to have a back up copy "off site" I do have an original myself - my garage includes 2 No 550's several 944's, a highly modified 914/6, and sundry VW Beetle derivatives in various states of tune. I even have a mint 356 Carrera which I'm hanging on to as an investment......If only real life was like this.[8|]

I'm in the throws of assembling a photo disc myself so, between us, we should cover most events. An inverter would be very handy.

Tony, have you copied your Brunters and Snetters in-car video to VHS tape yet. It would make a good continual loop display on the stand.

I have 11 550 Spyders as an investment, plus one I rag around the odd race stage and a couple of mint 356 speedsters. I also have a blood orange 2.7 RS Lightweight with zero miles. As you say, if only life were like that.

No, I was going to try and edit it a bit and my new PC has a DVD writer. I ordered a new firewire cable earlier in the week (unfortunately the wrong one - a 4 to 4 same as I had already the correct one may arrive tommorow) so I will try and get something sorted on DVD whilst locating the camping gear and cleaning the car tonight / tommorow.

I'd better get on with it!

After some thought, we are not taking a lap top with us. They have too much work related stuff on them to get nicked and I haven't worked ot a way to display from within the car satisfactorarily.

Something to look at for next year. [8|]

Appols to anyone who has feverishly prepared material. I spent most of yeaterday afternoon assembling a photo disc myself. [:(]

I would be doing better if Peter hadn't wiped out my garage - twice!!! 11 550's is a bit extreme though.

OOh I'm off on Wednesday. I'll bring my tent round and relive the spirit of Brands Hatch in your garden [:D]
