The Hotel is now taking bookings for the rooms at a reasonably discounted rate, I have emailed all those that I have an email address for with the details and booking reference.

Please contact me if you have not received the email and I will email you a copy of the actual booking form to save any problems [&:]- we have taken the last remaining rooms at the Hotel.

The rate is £80 per person which includes a 3 course dinner, bed and Breakfast.

Hi Clive, Managed to get her round the nurburgring without any drama, That was in the wet with the back slipping on one occasion and watching a 996 spin off behind us, She still came along the next day for a ride. Different day, different woman (Am I allowed to say that!!!.) Yes, she plans to be along side me so long as I take it easy.........So I said I would, Take it nice............ & easy......., Or was that Tina Turner!! Anyway, It will be really great to catch up with everyone, although it looks like I will have to pick up the rear with all these modified cars and italian thingy ma jigs. Is Judy coming to keep you on the straight and narrow and bendy stuff!!!

Gary, The road looks great but I can see why you needed new tyres, you keep leaving it on the road!!!

Guys, I cannot make the Sunday drive now which is a big disappointment so that frees up a place. Wanted to give you as much notice as possible. Will definitely be there for the next one!

watch out for speed cameras!

Cheers

Mike

Lesley and I will be driving up on the Friday afternoon - anyone got hotel suggestions for somewhere close to the track, a bit cheaper than the Vale?

We'll be living it up at the Bridgend Travelodge Friday night, Pete! Will only be there for a short while so we figured any bed for the night will do[&:] Was only £19 when I booked some while back - up to £47 or so I think now, so might be somewhere a little more salubrious in the area? It is close to the track though.

Peter,

The Ibis in Cardiff is currently doing rooms at £34.50.

Gary and I are booked in for Friday but a night out in Cardiff may well prove a little dearer! []

Does anyone know how you find out what Helmets are acceptable for track days.

I've looked up Llandow and a few others and they state that we have to use "permitted helmets" but no where states what standards apply.

My problem is locally there are only Motorbike shops and they and me can't work out if any of the motorbike helmets that fit meet the required track day standards.

Queue the Jokes but I have a big head so most lids won't fit - I have to try them on so can't order by email/phone?

Any one know anywhere around Essex that does car helmets and could advise on the correct standards
