Brooklands Meet - January 1st 2004

Brooklands is fab at any time of year, but every New years day they have a classic car get together. The recipe is simple - just turn up, park up and wax lyrical with other classic car enthusiasts. So...

... 'If' the previous night wasn't 'too' mad and you want to blow away some of the cobwebs (you AND your 912 that is) then come along. Gates open at 10am, I'll plan to get there for 12.00 ish. Normal entry fees to Brooklands apply - that's 7 GBP that includes the collections. And you can always try for that '912-on-the-Brooklands-banking' photograph you've been promising yourself.

Brooklands is easy to find - M25 Junction 10 with the A3, come off heading for Byfleet and then follow the signs. Further details on www.brooklandsmuseum.com

Hope you can make it!

Stuart Downward.

Right OK I have gone out and bought a little heater for my car as the fan to the car has packed up ekk!!!! the winter snag list just got longer .....

I am going to come along..... what am i saying...[&:]. I have to go to Ascot hospital on the way back for 2 pm so it is not too bad as I can do the two togeather.

So if you see a 912 with an owner still working on the car that's me. I really wanted to adjust that noisey tappet before I went as well ...... Oh well just have to not go over 90mph then [:D]

If it is raining hard will give it a miss. I hope the weather holds off ..So how many coming now then. Perhaps I could pop in to my mates Mr C Richard's for a cup of tea afterwards. He can sing his Christmas carol....[:'(]

Cool well wet but a great day. Pic's to follow and a video clip cheers Matt cool cam of yours. Total Porsche's I saw 10 ......3 912's WOULD HAVE BEEN 4 eh!!! GAV ??????[;)] Well what happened?
Very glad I went Much more to Brooklands than I thought. The man on the gate was the funiest. Quote " What I need is a real nice car here...." then a 944 (which was very nice )came down the hill " Oh no ...hello sir general carpark down there" How rude... He picked and chose the cars he wanted in the main car park and if he did not like the look of your car off to the general carpark for you...[&:] So glad he liked the 912 phew..
yes it was the man in the dayglow jacket and that hat

Thank you 912UK, you are very kind and I'm glad you appreciated the car. I thought yours was better suited to pride of place though. I think I could have squeezed in beside the 928 track day car though. They did have a 944 Lux and a 944 S2 in the carpark already so perhaps they should have had my Turbot to give them a full set.

Still, I don't care. I got to spend the day with the Editor of All Torque.

I thought it would be a member I said to my other half can you hear that bloke . We sat in our car which at the time was in the car park next to the corvet but when Stuart turned up I asked if I could move to where you see the pic's above he said "NO" I moved it any way I think the site of 2 912 's as they are above looked cool and loads of people came and had a look. Any way who the hell is he to deside who goes where!!! ( turned out he is a copper and as some of you know how much I f**** **** 8***** as my ex wife was one) all good fun great day [:D] oh John you got squeeky brakes but I think you know that.......

oh John you got squeeky brakes but I think you know that.......

Have a set of nice new pads and drilled discs sitting in my hall. If both discs had been drilled the same they would have been on by now.

Did you get permission to park on the banking or just sneak up there when no one was looking? We had to pay when we did a group shot with the 944 Register.

Sorry lads, a combination of beer rain and wanting to stay inside in the warm conspired against me.
Next time maybe, looks good though.

[:D] cool Matts cam was the dogs****** So he will have much better pic's than my ones.

Dear Santa can I please have for x mass 2004 a digital camera Sony model number......[;)]
