Buying advice

I know of a lovely C4S that went for £37k, with a blue-chip history.

What kind of person gives away £5k for the sake of making a few phone calls, and getting the history reassembled. All he's got to do is get the bills printed off at the OPC and get a new book stamped up.

If he's not maintained it properly, and 'doesn't know much about cars' has he driven it right, revved it from cold etc?

Has he got all the keys, is the sticker under the bonnet, check that VIN with an OPC so see if the options, colour etc check out.

I wouldn't touch it mate. I paid £49k for a 2005 C4S which was about right until i found out it was a 2003 import with a lack of service histroy. Have issued court proceedings against the supplying dealer, spent about £10k so far on solicitors and barristers, will probaly spend that again by the time we get a court date.
Problem is though, even when you win in court thre judge is unlikely to grant you more than 60-70% of your costs.
Save yourself the bother....................pay the right money for the right car with all the paperwork inorder[8|]
