104mm.

Yes your right the stock block 2.7 (2668cc) / 3.0 (3000cc) 944 & 968's are 104mm bore sizes,

I wrote that forgetting my block is different, being honed to 105mm x 78.9 stroke = (2707cc)

Is the 'open driveway' event still going ahead? I ask because I'm looking to sell my S2 to upgrade my daily driver to an M140i. I was going to wait to advertise it until the new year, but happy to show someone who's clearly on the look out. Whether you want it or not, with other owners there it would help me understand how my car compares, and what it might be worth when I do sell it. It's a 1990, 117k, in black with cream leather. In good condition, with approaching 10k spent on it over the 4 years I've owned it. I recently took it for a service at Dove House in Rushden following a recommendation on here, and they said it was a good car, including underneath.

A massive + for the standard turbos,,,,
you can have a full English breakfast,a large Caffe latte,,,smoke your cigarette and that would still leave you a little time before your boost kicked in,,,
What an all rounder,,lol,lol,,,,,,jasonp

Not if you know how to drive one!
You keep them just off boost if you want to send them on, hit the loud pedal and bang.
A mapped sorted car is another story.
The 220 with it's smaller turbo is pretty much lag free.
I have owned both models and the Turbo's do it for me, but each to their own.

Always been really impulsive with all my car purchases.
Never been one for endless research and travelling all over the country to kick tyres.
My car before this 944 was a Delorean. Bought off USA ebay unseen. Shipped. Driven across Europe, did the Mille Miglia classic rally down Italy. Did proms and car shows. Had a right laugh.
Sold it and bought a 944 with profit, whilst others on forum are still looking for the right car, even going on inspection trips to the states/europe. Bonkers!
If I like a car, always reckon, yeah I can sort that, yeah can live with that.
Sure I'll get caught out one day! Hahaha
Until then...... Just do it! Lol
