Can we please please go back to The Moat now......

ORIGINAL: tiskev

I went and saw the manager the next day and passed all the info to Phil and Pearl immediately. They have made a really good job on the rebuild..he only wants the Porsche Club back on a permanent basis. He asked if we could give him another couple of months before returning
by which time they will have the old  main entrance bar finished which we could have.or if we prefer we can have the old place back but due to alterations is not quite the same but our area would be sectioned off to keep it private.Suggest you all pop in and inspect it I thought it was good and the guy was most accomodating. Over to the management .
Pity about Arsenal Heavy rain here in France so they should be used to it and won [X(][X(]

SO JOB DONE IT'S BACK TO THE MOAT THEN......

Could we ask them to tarmac the rear car park first, only Lee keeps getting his tyres dusty round the edges !! [:D]

Behave yourself....there's no bigger tart than you!!

Lets all just turn up there in July then

Good point ,
That has more or less been done but the exit will eventually be just a little down the hill
the road will pass around the back of the bar we used to have.It should make it a lot safer pulling out

Apparently they found a few GT3 MK1 Splitters in the gravel when they tarmaced the area, but apparently as smooth as a baby bum now....SO QUESTION IS ARE WE GOING BACK OR NOT?[&:]

Well I'm goin back there from July..and it looks like everyone's in favour of returning.

Is anyone in touch with P&D? Better let them know our thoughts in time for summer and to get the message in the Post

I have sent an "E" to Phil and Pearl asking that they clarify situation hopefully they will reply if they are not away or something.

[:)]OK we heard what you said and although we have been busy moving house etc - we have been to the Moat and have arranged with Jim (the manager) and Marc (asst. manager) to return there from the JULY Club Night.
The entrance and exit to the car park is now one way. We will have an area where the old restaurant used to be and have been assured that we can have this sectioned off - on entering the Moat by the main entrance - turn right and right again past the bar and you will find our area. There is a Fire Exit (just for health & safety info!) which opens directly onto the REAR CAR PARK. Suggest you all park in the rear car park - so you can get out and look at your cars and take your beer with you - but please return glasses at the end of the evening.
I have already done the July newsletter for Porsche Post and have put a piece in regarding the move so new members will know where we are!
By the way - the food has improved too.
If anyone wants to get in touch our new phone number is 01797 344121.
