I am trying to determine the early history and ownership of my 1980 Porsche 930. The car was delivered new by AFN at Falcon Works, London Road, Islesworth in March 1980 and was exported from the UK to Australia sometime in 1989 or 1990.
The car was originally painted in “special wish” Sienna Metallic paint with a Cork leather interior and would have looked like this:
Here are the specifications of the car that I have managed to obtain from Porsche Classic in Germany:
• Body number 93A0070536
• Engine number 6700526
• Key number 1176
• Color 99 (special wish)
• Interior 70 (leather brown, seat inlays perforated)
• Options: 058 (impact absorbers front and rear), 220 (limited slip differential), 261(electric mirror passengers side), 409 (sport seats left and right), 559 (climate control), 650 (sliding roof)
I have been in touch with Porsche Centre GB, and whilst they hold all of the historical AFN records including registration number, owners and workshop records, they are unable to share them due to data protection laws.
The only other clue that I have been able to uncover is that the original owner may have been a Mr Camalleri or Camilleri, director of a company called Highmark Engineering based in London.
Any help gratefully accepted!
