Car bumped at Cambridge OPC PCGB meet Weds 13 Nov 2013

I totally agree it's the principle, why people do this and just run away. I once did this and left a note and paid for the work again it was only £150 a few weeks later my car got scrapped, and no note left.

I use to use OPC Cambridge, but found everything was priced at a cost of by the book, for example your discs need changing, this is the cost do you want them done ? Where as JZ who I go to in king Langley there attitude is your discs have some corrosion give them some good use with some hard breaking and they should clear if not we will skim them. I didn't find it was a 100% honest service at OPC cambs.

I also felt the sales people looked down at you, especially when turning up in my wife's 15 year old BMW, pick up some parts, I work in sales and don't agree that's the way to do it.

So I make the drive to JZ in kings Langley and if I need any small bits done I use a good Guy locally who loves Porsche and has owned 2 but is not a specialist.

Good luck in your findings.

Merry Christmas cheers Phil

Thanks for your reply Phil. Like many other folks who have replied your empathy makes me feel a bit less 'in the wrong' for being miffed by this.

Congrats on finding JZM - a decent Indy is a brilliant find. I use Dove House in Rushden, Northants., for my spanner work now and I think they are great.

Enjoy your Christmas and roll on sunny weather in 2014 for fun driving :)
