Car @ OPC Guildford for the second time..

Just fitted the chrome tail pipes, they looked identical to those I took off, then I checked the serial numbers which were different. Look good though.[:D]
Please to advised, car booked in again for rattles, driving me mad[]

Nick, where did u get the tailpipes as I keep being told that they are on back order at OPC Reading? Did you fit them yourself - are they easy to fit?

I ordered them in Dec 04, arrived on Tuesday with a whole batch of them from Germany. Easy to fit, one bolt which is like a clip. Just make sure you get them on straight, and that you push them in quite a way.
I am no expert, but if I can do it, anyone can.
They look excellent. Worth the £208 (incl the 10% PCGB discount)
At least this won't rattle[;)]

I will try and post a picture of them if I can work out how to shrink the size, if you know what mean[;)]

I forgot to say, this was from my local OPC. I assume they should all be at the same price

Well, it's in again, took the guy round the block with his head in my dash, got a few funny looks. They have given me one of their 4x4 jobs, the standard one, will update you when it returns

I know this looks like I am talking to myself..however
Went in, had it for two days, collected it, went for a test drive, rattled like hell. Took it back, they took it for a spin, and confirm it rattled like hell. booked it in again.

They are now replacing the passenger seat runners. []

Went in two days ago, just been told to pick it up tomorrow.[;)]

Here's hoping

Don't worry Nick - we're just good listeners[;)]
Got to say though, that mine is absolutely rattle and squeak free (so far anyway) I'd be mighty p...d off if my car rattled & squeaked as much as the demo car that i tried at the OPC. That was a very poor representation of the marque.

Saw the car in the OPC on Thursday, when I called in. Still not a squeak from mine, and keeping fingers crossed. Did changing the seat runners help?

And did James ever contact you about polishing and chroming your old tailpipes? Still interested if that scheme works.

Peter and Nick

I'm still keen to have a go at getting tail pipes polished, I have been very busy business wise recently and out of the club circuit.

My car is booked into Guildford on Monday 23rd - hopefully getting my creaking suspension and telephone sorted so that I can be heard without resting my chin on the steering wheel and shouting.

Nick if you are still in agreement it may be possible to meet next Monday and pick up your pipes if you are in the Guildford area. I will mail you my mobile no.

James

I have been quoted £174+vat =£205 for tail pipes without any club discount applied! from Porsche Centre Bournemouth. Seems that there is some geographical differences?

Hi James

I am still interested in getting these tail pipes done. Out of the country on 23rd though.

I wil reply to your e-mail and see if we can meet at some time

Nick

So far so good, all tight as a ducks xxxx

Going on a little run over the next few days so this will be the tester..

Nick

I have to say it is worth being persistant, so much nicer being rattle free
