I had one and it worked fine. As said several times above, the problem was when taking the car in and out regularly (I managed to smash the small ventilators more than once by driving on them, my garage is tight...)

I`ve been using a carcoon since 1999 during the winter for a 911S. Works fine, with the bonus of the battery condition monitor.

One thing I should have added is that it helps if your garage is reasonably well sealed and not opened too often during periods of high humidity and mid-range temperatures- otherwise the unit is trying to dehumidify the WORLD!
