Cayenne S, what extra's do you recomend

I see they are selling the original tubo pipes for less than the tequipment ones. Tempting.
Anyone know if they make it sound sweeter

Has anyone had dvd screens fitted in the headrests, or can you recomend a system or supplier/instaler. Herts area if poss
Need something to keep the devil's child happy on long journeys.

you get tipshift controls on the steering wheel, but not the radio/cd controls unless you stump up for the extra. I did w/o and have managed to lean across the extra few inches to reach the radio!

We have had a ceiling mounted DVD with headphones and can recommend Sound City in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Not quite Herts, I know but... They were recommended by the OPC.

In terms of other options, I would recommend anyone buying a Cayenne to have Park Assist and the phone module factory fitted. We had park assist retrofitted by our OPC and they had to strip it out again a few months later after failing to get it to work. They also then told me that the parts they fitted were not even Porsche parts, but some local outfit[].

I would look at the phone module because I have just had a quote to have this module installed into my S and they want £800 for parts and £800 for fitting. Needless to say, I have gone for the Ericsson bluetooth instead @ £300.

Thanks for the reply James, Where is the screen mounted & what size is it ? At first I was thinking of putting screens in both headrest's but yours is another option. Have you just got DVD or TV as well ? What system is it and are you happy with it.
Any Pic's

Sorry for the delay but have been away. I'll try and get a photo and the details. It is mounted in the center, just behind the line of the front seats. rug rats can see perfectly and works well with infra-red headphones. The whole thing cost than £1,000. Works best with tinted windows for less glare.

Well I think Xenons are a must, difficult to drive a car without them once you have become used to their power.

Mine came with lots of options that the dealer specified, as I was in a hurry to get my hands on one last August.

Dont have Air suspension mind you, but very happy with ride comfort and sporting ability.

Bose is good aprt from Radio reception. Full Leather is nice touch of luxury but difficult to justify the additional cost.

[FONT=Arial"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] Re : extras for the K-N. Soft closing for the tailgate (I suspect this will be std for M/Y `05).

Air suspension - improves ride quality but also allows you to drop the car by a couple of inches and improve both looks and handling.

Re: wheels I think the 19" alloys are a good compromise and may save you money on tyres (which you will be buying !!).

Servotronic steering - because it costs less than a training shoe.

Sat nav (PCM), fairly important - very hard to sell on again without.

Park distance control - not fortunes of money and will pay for it`s self with the first saved bumper repair.

A spare wheel. (The car only comes with a can of Jizz and a prayer mat). Either get the blow up job that fits in the Base bin hole under the boot carpet or go the whole hog and get the Lara Croft external spare wheel. Joking aside it does give you a full sized spare, we have it in case we get a flatty whilst towing.

An finally a tow hook. Even if you don`t use it you may just find it sells the car to someone when it come to re-sale. The Cayenne is currently the best tow vehicle in the world (Although I don`t think Porsche have realised it yet given that none of the UK dealers ever seem to fit a ball to their cars). Once the word gets out every Caravan clubber in the land is goint to be after one. (Again joking aside there are a lot of people who need a towing capability for their business but still want to enjoy performance and handling when not hooked up). The air suspension is a must for towing.

Oh - and finally finally Bi-xenon lights. Self levelling, clean themselves and a country mile better than the standard offering.

All the other fodder is really up to your personal taste. Things like the leather extending to the dash upgrades the feel of the cabin but at a price. It won`t make the car work any better. What ever you decide to fit enjoy your car when it arrives.
