Cayman 718 T - PSE no more ..?

I’ve always optioned sports exhaust in all my Porsches , can’t say it makes a lot of difference in my Boxster T as I drive 95% time with roof down , but don't like the direction of travel at all if this type of option being discontinued

Ref to price change - Just had an update from the dealer. I assume this will be the same for all, but obviosly I cant confirm. Anyone that has an order in the system prior to the price change over the weekend, Porsche will honour the price at which they (the customer) placed the order.

Minus the Sports Exhaust is that?

Very clever marketing for pre ordered before the price increase to try to keep customers.

You can pay the same sir without the Sports Exhaust. :ROFLMAO:

As far as I see it was the whole point of a T the extras where that leaves it now who knows

Yes, that did cross my mind. However, the T does still come with all the other goodies, as far as I can see its only the PSE which has been removed, but still, a pretty important option to loose..Or, another way of looking at it, the people that ordered pre price hike have got a more expensive, same model and spec car, cheaper..Got to be good for residuals..?

Anyone recommend a decent aftermarket PSE system..?[:)]

My OPC agrees and for me it's excellent news as I put a deposit on a GTS last Wednesday and hopefully I'll get an allocation next month or Jan for a build in March. I have made one spec change which I sent in last Saturday but the price increase only affects the base price not options. So fingers crossed I won't have to stump up the extra £1310 as I almost fell off my chair when they added the £1900 first road fund fee! I've just used up my life savings so it's beans on toast for the next 700 million years!

If anyone is interested, my Base Cayman (with PSE and some other toys) will hopefully be traded in in June.

Have a look at Soul Performance. Not cheap but excellent systems.

This is true other goodies but no PSE will put future buyers off plus the price increase for future buyers.

It's saved me a few quid.

I fear aftermarket sports exhausts may go the same way in the future won't be available.
