Cayman - how many miles has yours done?

Paul, if you get near that the majority of the cost in adding a few thousand on your insurance is mostly for the paperwork!

Late 2008 2.7, 71,500 miles. Bought it 6 years ago with 14K on the odometer. Car is a daily driver (mostly motorway commuting) and taking it into the nearby Welsh hills at the weekend for fun [:)].

Have had a few problems along the way - replacement steering rack due to oil leak and power steering pump deterioration, replacement front struts and tie bars due top mount and to joint wear, replacement front discs. Quite a few costly bits really considering Porsche's perceived reputation for build quality, and I'm a reasonably mechanically sympathetic driver. Having said that my OPC had managed to get a reasonable contribution towards the rack, even though out of warranty.

Still love it all the same, even though I've driven good number of later versions. Has a certain slick mechanical feel that seems to be missing from the newer ones.

Hi, ive just clocked up 100,000 miles on my 2006 Cayman S.

No major reliability issues, failed water pump, replaced air con condensers and now just on 3rd set of brake disks.

Love these cars!

Thanks to others who have contributed to this thread but this is what I was after. Confirmation that the Cayman is good for big mileages with few problems.
