Cayman ordered (third one)

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I picked up a brand new yellow 718 Cayman GT4 this evening with a 3 year warranty.

The only restriction was that I have to 3+ and have direct adult supervision.................

It is a Porsche official licensed product from Lidl at £9.99 and slightly shorter at about 170 mm so no problems with garaging it............

Regards

Bill

OPC contacted me with the good news, build slot confirmed ETA for delivery 2nd June. Let's hope it does not slip.

😊 In the end I have gone for this:

Welcome, and if I may make a couple of suggestions if they are in your budget:

1. Add PASM. The ride height is only reduced by 10mm and the adaptive dampers are excellent. Standard ride height is a little too high imo. I've had no issues with clearance with both 10 or 20mm drop.

2. Entry and drive: There's a risk here of thieves gaining access to your car and potentially having it away. Not something I would recommend personally.

3. Smoking package: add a flap and additional 12v socket to the centre console. Tidies things up a little.

You've done the easy bit. Waiting is a nightmare but enjoy it. It'll be worth it.

Hi Dan, thanks for the suggestions I will have a look.

TBH I did not know the value of the PASM on the entry level being first one, so thanks for the heads up on that.

Yeah the keyless entry.... I think because my last few AMG's have had this I have sort of got used to it :) Although removing that and going for PASM may be better, there is only a few of those nasty speed humps on the car park at work but nothing that should cause the problem. Does the PASM improve the ride quality noticable?

The main problem with the waiting is that I keep adding the odd "extras" on..... although I am sure the OPC don't mind that too much [:)]

Andy

I found PASM gave great comfort for general use and you can firm it up when pressing on if you fancy something a little more sporty. Gives it a lower stance as well. Forgot to mention, I'd add the 64 ltr tank. For £84 it's a no brainer.

Looking at your build, you've got pretty much all the good options ticked.
