Caymans & Coffee - Sunday 27th October 2019 - Goodwood Motor Circuit Cafe

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, hopefully we’ll have a dry morning if this evening’s weather forecast is to be believed.

Don’t forget to put your clocks back on Sunday morning, you don’t want to arrive at Goodwood an hour early!

Just to say it was good to meet (some of) you this morning, and thanks again to Andrew for organising this event. It was good to see so many cars there, I guess the lovely weather helped a bit with that!

Looking forward to the next Cayman meeting and in the mean time hopefully some more great driving over the winter, whatever the weather! [:)]

I've attached a (not great, taken on my phone!) photo of a couple of the cars there, mine is in the background hiding somewhere between the trees!

Many thanks Andrew, nice to meet up with everyone.

Couldn't resist going through the tunnel and taking this picture!

Nick

We were blessed by a beautiful sunny morning for Caymans & Coffee at Goodwood today. I wandered around the car park a few times in order to keep count how many Caymans had turned up but every time I got back to my starting point more cars arrived! I think the total was in excess of 30 so a big thank you to everyone who attended. I'm sorry that I didn't have an opportunity to speak to all attendees, hopefully I'll chat to you another time. If you were unable to attend don't worry, I hope there will be more Cayman Register meetings next year, meanwhile there are plenty of PCGB regional and nationals meetings to attend.

Thanks for posting your photographs, photo of the day for me so far is that by Nicks.

It's always nice to see a picture of my car on here! :) Were you in the one that was blocked in by the MG?

And yes, it was nice to see everyone there. Pretty good turnout and very lucky weather.

Andrew, I didn't get a chance to speak to you this morning, but thanks for organising it, and hopefully we can do more of these in the future. :)

Standard Goodwood photo, surprise surprise it's got my car in it! Shame about the motorhome, VW van, and Carrera 4S that spoiled our line-up.

Yeah I was, although he did come out and move it straight away once I found him (hiding in the cafe!!). To be fair I think I could have just about got out around it, but it would have been a bit of a nail-biter, and with only having had the car a month I'm still very much getting used to where its "edges" are, so I didn't want to take the risk!

I assume your car is the blue one? It's slightly difficult to tell the colour from your profile pic, at least on my laptop!

Yeah mine's the blue 981 GTS. I agree with being cautious about the "edges". I've had mine a few years now, and still err on the side of caution when going through narrow gaps!

had a great time on Sunday - actually gave me the kick to join the club as a full member which I have just done [:)]

I guess I am in a "pending acceptance" state

It was good to meet some like minded Cayman owners on Sunday and what a great day weather wise it was.

This was my first Porsche Club meet, but definitely won't be my last!

Thanks to Andrew for organising.

Mark
