May not have been perfect for the purists but I did enjoy watching it. I have always loved the growl of the engine - wonderful sound.
Maybe be worth a £2 punt via text for a chance to win?

But on the other hand it was nice to see the Clubs 928 Register Secretary David Hemmings and other enthusiastic owners on TV.

I enjoyed watching it too and it was good to see Paul O'Neill's enthusiasm for the 928. [
I am new to this Forum.
I watched the Ch5 programme about the 928. I knew very little about it before.
It does look and sound wonderful and a completely different animal to my classic Ford.
The programme is pure pantomime and completely unbelievable in that it costs a huge amount of money to restore a car. I have spent £1000s on my classic and it was in a decent condition to start with.
Where to start to look for a 928 GT manual and not get burned?
By the way I live only a couple of miles from the first garage unit/dealer they went to and bought the seats from.

It seems to be "take Wheeler Dealers", and make it more like all the awful US series where everyone is totally over-acting.
Add drama: "OMG, the lights have gone out". Add humour: "OMG, it's a fat bloke trying to climb out through a window". Add conflict: "don't you blame me, it's your fault, OMG". Add tension: "OMG, will it be ready on time? Will it be on budget? Now, some ads".
Then, get a load of idiots to pay a premium-rate text to try to win the bodge-up, at which point the programme pays for itself.
I'm not sure we can criticise it. Seems a pretty good business plan to me. [8|]

Worth a watch, but probably never again.

Pretty much a perfect summary Mr McN.
Following the first series a standard call of exclamation in the Sims household is " MARIO!"
It would be so much better if it wasn't so contrived. "We must finish it in three weeks" Why? Oh look we just happened to be filming the guy spraying when the lights went out.
And wasn't it strange that one of the headlamps were broken and yet the internal reflector was perfect in every way, no dust, rust or water ingress. Its almost as if it was broken deliberately to make the car look more neglected.
