In honour of the CCLASP event on the 8th August I thought I'd tart up the Boxster a bit"¦

I decided to give the Boxster some Gulf racing stripes (inspired by my 40th birthday present from my lovely wife - a Tag Heuer Monaco Gulf - and of course the film 'Le Mans' with Steve McQueen from 1970).

A HUGE thanks goes to A. Gray & Sons Ltd. (Glenboig) for doing all the graphic design and application on the car - when I told them about the CCLASP day out they waved their fees and allowed me to donate the money instead to CCLASP!

Look forward to seeing you all on the 8th"¦ I'll be the one in this stripey Boxster [:)]

Gav, think the car looks great, Steve McQueen fan then, so is my hubby, loves that film too.

Por911t, do you own an ice-cream van then?? You could bring it along to the CLAASP event and donate the money you make from selling your '99s, oysters and 10p mixtures!!![:D][:D]

Hi All
Just a wee update on the charity day ,we have a few spaces still available at present we have 50 signed up , so if you want to volunteer give me a email and i will explain what you have to do .We have been pledged over £2k but we would like more so we will be selling tickets at £5 a go and the lucky driver could win super prize with a value of £1k.
We plan to send out a book of 5 tickets to all the volunteers to sell to family and friends , or just sell as many as you can and bring the monies collected along to the event on the day .
We will in the coming month's be emailing out details of the day ,meeting points, programme of the days events etc .The sun has been ordered and the cameras switched of on the A1 so we can have a blast [:D][:D]
Thanks once again to all for there help in making this event possible and be assured any monies collected and pledged will go direct to the charity NOT one penny is being used for our time and outlay in getting this together .
Brian
