For those from the South and South West who fancy a longer convoy run up to Snetterton on Sunday, there will be a pre-meet at South Mimms Services (M25/A1). We will be leaving there at 07:45 prompt to run up to Barton Mills and meet with the rest of the group. The route will be A1/A505/A11/A14/A11.

Its with regret I am going to have to pull out of this, I went to drive the car today and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. I checked the fluid level and it was empty! it seems to have been leaking fluid at the connection of the flexi on the master cylinder and dripping down by the exhaust manifold (I had smelt something but thought it was a little oil from the cam tower gasket. Parts are on order with the OPC which will probably be with me on Saturday but since my previous post on Tipec it turns out there's now a chance to get back my belongings from my divorce this weekend, the chance of getting my furniture and off the inflatable bed is just too good to pass up.

Good luck with all of the above!

Hello Slate Lickers! Thanks once again for a great day out. Good company, good food and some nice cars! Thanks Glenn for arranging the great parking and excellent pub meal! Hope to see you all soon. Craig

Yes, another great day out with good friends. Glenn done us proud organising UK Transaxle official parking, and his mates pub served excellent food again we may have to find another route through to the pub next year though!!! 17 cars at Snetterton was a good turn out

Now we know what the SL part of the SLK badge on Glenn's Merc' stands for! [:D] Yep, thanks from me too for organising this Glenn - a great day out despite the grey skies and good to catch up with everyone [8D]

Some lessons to take on-board for next year! 1. Leave South Mimms 15 minutes earlier to allow for "The Little Chef Factor". 2. Pick a different route between Snetterton and Brandon Creek to cater for those of us who are "ground clearance challenged". Anything else we should consider?

Ah Fanks mate... No. 2 - Will check at the weekend, but definitely concur No. 3 Take our own tea & coffee facilities

Not a fan of race-track catering van beverages? I can't say I am either, but I have become acclimatised to them over the years.

Im gutted I missed this, the upside is I have all my personal belongings back but theres still a downside is after ordering a new clutch master cylinder and hose, i now need a slave cylinder :-(
