Thanks Philip, for uploading these.

Malax911 - as you can see from the photos, 2 thumb screws located either side of battery compartment, remove cover, chassis/VIN number can be seen left side on bulk head as indicated.

Yes my guess is that cayman/987/997 are the same as rich indicates![;)]
Anyway porsche hasnt changed the spot of the chassis number but the plastics layout as far as I can tell...

Strangely I think everyone else took it as a lesson in "how to AVOID a ring'd Porsche!" - but each to their own [8|]

There are other build / comission numbers - and the chassis number is repeated elsewhere - but that's not something for a public forum [;)]
