Chip power upgrades

My neighbour (who produces and repairs curcuit boards) had a look last night and got to the stage where you siad, it also looked like it had two rows of connectors fixed to one curcuit board and another row fixed to the other so we didn't want to force this open incase of braking it.
He did say it wouldn't take him 5 minutes to un-solder and solder back up though.
I did manage to see that the chip looked to be standard so the next question is which one do I go for?
Accellracing are the cheapest compared to promaxmotorsport but is there any difference is the chips themselves?

I thought the same when doing mine, but it was just very tight, needing quite some force to seperate the connectors. When I got to my chip (which was not visible, as it had a plastic cover over it), I was surprised to find an Accell chip already fitted. This is now surplus to requirements, so feel free to make me an offer! Normally £45 on Ebay. Have never seen any performance claims for them.

My C2 has a second control module beside the ECU similar in size but don't know what it is for , maybe cruise control ?
