Classic Porsche's in Scotland 25/28 May

Myself and the Mrs will be in a.......(cough)........silver Toyota Corolla.

Im not brave enough to drive the 14 with no damping. To say its a harsh ride is an understatement. New strut inserts go in next week.

Hi there. I made it home in one piece, stuck for a lot of the way behind a carvan :( Someone should find the lowlife that pedals these mobile misery wagons and give them a stern talking to [;)]

Anyhow a big thanks from me and hazel to DDK for inviting us to come along and making us welcome. Also a big thanks to Brian for meeting up and looking after us. It was soo great to meet such a nice group of people, and see those lovely cars. I will endevour to meet up again soon.

Thanks again for a great day.

Mark and Hazel

Indeed, an excellent day out, and that 968 sure did look good in my rear view mirror!

It was a great day out. Nice to put some faces to names. We were following Helen in the Orange sportmatic, the silver 912 and Tom and Kevin in their 914s . Great to see people realy driving these cars as opposed to letting them fester in a garage somewhere.

Got to say i had a absolutely superb day, really really friendly bunch and defo made us most welcome. As for the cars, Excellent and all the colours from Vivid
Blues to Stunning Yellows to Vibrant Oranges, plus the usual silver blacks whites and reds.
Why o Why does nobody order these Lairy colours now they are Ab Fab....
Surely im not the only one that thinks this Why all shades of grey now??

Cheers Al[:D]

I think it is a lot to do with the ages of the cars.this is a enthusists club and these people have there cars for years and just love getting together to talk and display and drivethere cars ... ..we have had decent turnouts granted not 39 cars ,well once we did beat that at a concourse at Dunikier House, a lot of Porsche owners have there car for a year or so and move on.I do not know the seceret on how to attract people out perhaps some one could post there suggestions ........as most know I have been a supporter of the club since 1993 and to be honest it has been the same story no matter who has been the RO we have all tried hard to encourage people out to attend things.

just got back from Scotland and it is great to see the wonderful photos ... love the 1st one [;)][:D]

Over 1000 miles of fantastic driving over days [:D]

I think I spoke to one or 2 of you in the car park @ the power station but i didn't catch your names [:)]

Thanks guys for coming alone and enjoying our event. It was nice to meet Brian and Alan and I think we nearly had them for the whole weekend as they were offered accommodation at Killin as well as beer! Funny club though...we had a "prize given" on the Sunday night and the top prize when to a guy who's car doesn't qualify for the club (1974) and the second to a guy who isn't even a member [8|] I for my part drove my borrowed car a '67 911S (thanks to 210bhp) like it was stolen for over 900 miles!
