Dear Early 911 Owners,

Fred Hampton et all have been busy putting together the details for what looks like a stunning event. There's now a webpage up - only a place holder at the moment but more details will be posted to the site as they become available:

For all of you planning on coming to this event - and if you're not planning it - GET IT IN YOUR DIARY NOW! [:D]

I have received an email from Hedingham Castle with plenty of B&B details - drop me an email to '911@porscheclubgb.com' and I'll forward it on [:)]

no. i should think (hope) information will be in the next issue of porsche post which should be coming through our post boxes any day now.

there is no information on the clubs web site about this show...it is not a PCGB event?

I've got the new PP & it mentions pre purchasing tickets & a raffle on these tickets , but no mention of where to buy them [8D]

ah, not got my PP yet.

i've just e-mailed Fred and asked. i'll let you know if i fnd out anything...strange there is nothing on the clubs web site at all.

got my reply.
It would be advisable to buy tickets in advance as there is a very good prize on offer to pre purchasers only.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Ticket prices are ÂŁ15 for car and driver plus ÂŁ5 for any additional passengers.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Children who look like children are free.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Advanced ticket sales will be via Cornbury House and details will be published soon and an info/flyer is being direct mailed to ALL 1000 pre 74 Porsche owners in PCGB.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Tickets can be bought on the day - but cash only as there will be no credit card facility at Hedingham.
[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]i'll just be bringing the one pre 1974 porsche. [&o] was planning to bring three but i can't afford ÂŁ45 entrance fees ontop of the petrol and hotel bill[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I'm sure Fred would do you a deal on the tickets. . . . i.e. 1 full price and 3 passenger prices . . . . he'd defo want all your cars there. I'd ask him.

Personally I'd love to have a poke around your Sporto . . . . and the 'new' 356.

if he would that would be fantastic. might have to find a willing volenteer to drive one of them there and back.

Only a week or so till this event . . . . the websites been 'enhanced' and you can semi pre-book on-line (although club office need to call you to get the payment [8|])

Chance to win a GT3 drive by pre-booking, so well worth it (should I be promoting this, as reduces my chances of winning [&:])

Phil
NB It's only cash on the gates (i.e. no debit/credit cards)

Booked today, and yes I was suprised to see that Club Office will be contacting me, espacially as I gave my home phone number[:)] Guess I will have to call them.

See you there (assuming I have my new seats in).

Ian

I booked "On line" and received a email back from Fred Hampton, asking me to send my payment to:-
c/o
Ronnie Crosier
Porsche Club GB Cornbury House
Cotswold Business Village. London Road.
Moreton-in-Marsh
Gloucestershire. GL56 OJQ

I shall be parked with all the other Porsche's
Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Yes . . . it's not really on-line . . . . as far as I can tell, you fill in the form - it goes to Fred - Fred then contacts you saying pay club office by cheque - he then checks with club office before sending the tickets.

The system seems to be working.

Looking forward to it too.

Phil

yes, it would be better if there was a form to print off that you sent off with your payment. filling in the form on-line isa bit of a waste of time and givs the girls in H/Q more work to do as they then have to marry up your payment with your online information.[]

I did exactly what you suggest Helen . . . I completed the online form and before submitting it printed it off (actually didn't submit it) - post to Club office with a cheque.

Anyway . . . admin aside, can't wait to get there.

If anyones coming down the day before . . . there's historic's racing at Snetterton on the Saturday.

Phil
