Club night at Hawes(?) Thursday 6th July

ORIGINAL: GreigM

As Jane says, this may present a problem for those turning up who don't know - can I suggest you start from the hawes at 8 and drive up to Gleneagles? or is that leaving things a bit late? That way you could pick up stragglers?

As this is proving difficult at such short notice, may I suggest we postpone "Gleneagles" to August and as new RO Greig invites Edinburgh and Glasgow to Gleneagles ....

Cheers
Kevin

Sensible ... I'd go with that.

Kevin - sounds good, I'll try get a wee note added into Porsche Post to that effect (even though we are past the deadline I'll give it a shot).

So the basic plan would be that instead of the normal Edinburgh club night at the Hawes on 3rd August, we will instead meet in the Dormy at Gleneagles. Shall we say anytime from 7.30pm onwards? Both east and west coast (and anyone else for that matter (r2?)) are invited, although I propose the normal Glasgow night on Tuesday 1st goes ahead as normal as well.

I was looking forward to this and was planning to go and look around first ....so it is the Hawes then , to be fair might not have let me in to Gleneagles with a Skoda

Brain, they are not fussy about what car you have as long as you can pay for your drinks.

The Dormy is full of Glasgow neds made good or foreign tourists so PCGB should fit in well ;O)

So looks like I am drinking alone on Thursday!

... not if you come along to the Hawes ...[:)][:)]

Greig,
Looks good to me, feel free to suggest alternative venue ... is there somewhere decent in Stirling perhaps??

Cheers
Kevin

Kevin - Gleneagles is good, nice surroundings and maybe Charles could figure out a nice spot for a photo of the cars - will try get it into the club mag.

Good news is the magazine has accepted the addition of that date change, so we're now officially on for Gleneagles on 3rd August....see youze there

As that is a definate date perhaps Charles can let them know and book a section of the club so we can get in

Not sure I can book the bar and no idea how many will show.

If eating then you just need to phone and book a table.

we'll maybe get informal numbers for grub closer to the time....looking forward to it!

I suggested Gleneagles as a drive only ...if people want to eat it may be quite pricey ... not the usual fare as per the Hawes.

Phil and I had a run up there and then up to Kenmore through the sma' glen a few months ago - fantastic views absolutely sh*t yersel roads..and yet more bloody sheep without sat nav - coffee, and the best shortbread bisuits, for two was £11 so be warned!!

We should add this to the P*sh-a-forum??

Cheers
Kevin

Yes Kevin I think it would be nice to add it to the p*sh-a-forum, the more the merrier. I have a lousy sense of direction, so will need to get my tomtom out, if I go [:)]

Jane

What do you mean "if I go" ... you have to go ... so you Greig and Brian can form the " Scottish PCGB Committee" ... and take your place in history alongside other great trios ....musketeers, ...monkeys (hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil) ....stooges ...blind mice.. the good, the bad, and the ****... [:D][:D][:D]

Cheers
Kevin

The PCGB would never be the same if I was to join the committee [:D] [:D] [:D]

I even need a tomtom to get to the Forth Road Bridge and I can see it from our house[&:]

Always willing to help out anytime if anyone should need me though [;)] Ok I will go you talked me into it, it is duly noted in my very full diary ( where is that smilie with the big nose ? [8D])
