CoAs now delivered, any surprises?

Hi All,

Is there any chance of getting my CoA. I didnt attend the Silverstone Day! Is there a normal route to get this from Porsche?

Cheers

Hi Sean,

I have the form, so if you want me to send you a copy send me a PM. Otherwise you can request one for yourself by emailing customer.assistance@porsche.co.uk with a request.

Here's a few more colour codes from the MY2003 Order Guide (USA):

A1 Black
B4 Carrara White
G1 Guards Red
X4 Speed Yellow
E9 Midnight Blue Metallic
G4 Dark Teal Metallic
J2 Lapis Blue Metallic
L1 Orient Red Metallic
X1 Arctic Silver Metallic
X2 Meridian Metallic
Y1 Seal Grey Metallic
Z4 Basalt Black Metallic
53 Forest Green Metallic
56 Cobalt Blue Metallic
58 Polar Silver Metallic
59 Slate Grey Metallic
63 Zanzibar Red
98 Non-Metallic Paint to Sample
99 Metallic Paint to Sample

Is B4 Carrera White or Carrara White? Or did they have Carrera white to start with then with the 997 they introduced Carrara White?[8|]

It's odd because some cars got the US paint codes on the CoA and some the ROW ones.
I think it may have been the air-cooled cars that got the ROW codes.
Did anyone with a water cooled car get their proper paint codes?

Got my certificate this morning - no surprises. Colour code is J2V4 - is the V4 bit the cabriolet roof ?
It's an interesting exercise to add up the cost of all the optional equipment when new - makes me thankful that I bought the car when it was a couple of years old and someone else took the big hit !

Got mine yesterday and no surprises just confirmation that the original owner forgot to stop ticking the options boxes!!

Boy am I pleased.

Mine arrived Saturday signed by Mr. Goss and very pretty it looks too!

No real surprises, maybe the heated seats as thought they were standard, apparently not - whoever had my car before me thanks as you specced it up real nice -

slide/tilt sunroof, sports exhaust, PCM with phone module, BOSE stereo, heated seats, aluminium trim, green shadeband on windscreen, basalt black with black leather and even a rear wiper!!

I forgot - the three spoke steering wheel!

Apparently there have been a few mistakes made with some of these CoAs, I'd wager your heated seats was one of them, that's a costly retrofit!

I have a standard MY03 Coupe Tip and yes my COA shows the US code for Seal Grey (Y1Y1) instead of L6B4 as shown on the VIN Label. Interior is also shown as Black Leather instead of the VIN Label Code AH. The COA confirmed also what I thought - that the car was a UK C16 spec import from Porsche Stockholm - hence the Swedish customer prep docs that came with the other car paperwork. Must have been when the fad was to buy UK spec cars in Europe when they were significantly cheaper than buying them in the UK. Otherwise no surprises and the COA came in about 2 weeks.

Mine arrived on Saturday, as with others my colour code is shown as N1N1, also interior as black leatherette with guards red seatbelts - looks like ordinary leather to me unless someone else nos different?

Did not get much in the way of optional equipment.... on board computer, centre console, air con, CD storage, Heavy Duty Battery, Leather / Carbon packag std, CDr-22 CD Radio....... and thats your lot for £75k

As others have said ' nice to have for nothing and put in the file'

Mine arrived today = colour code shown as D3D3 Iris Blue Metallic...

Options = sun roof, hardback seats left and right, top tinted windscreen, Sony CDX CD Tuner, Marble Grey/Blue Leather interior...

Nothing exciting or surprising...

Mine came back within a couple of weeks of ordering. Like Richard's, the paint code is X1X1. I have a few questions if anyone is able to help - the 'sport package (manual)' is listed under optional equipment - I know that this included the sports suspension but were 18" turbo alloys also included? Also, my car has hard backed sports seats - were these also part of the 'sports package'? Lastly the 'Selling Porsche Centre' is given as 'Road Range' - any ideas as to what this means? The supplying dealer named in all of the paperwork I have was PC Wilmslow.
As most of you have already said, the certificate is a useful document to have to add to the history although I wouldn't have paid £65 for it! Thanks to Rod for sorting this out.

OPCs were not always OPCs and used other trading names e.g. OPC Newcastle was JCT600 and on some documentation that was still appearing as recently as a couple of years ago, not sure if this is the explanantion for ROADRANGE though

I think Road Range Ltd had the Porsche franchise, but they are now Mercedes dealers.

My C2 had the sport package, which included M030 suspension, 18" Turbo alloys and Sports Seats. (Mine were heated too.)
