Colour coded wheels on a 993

They look superb. Each time I look at cup wheels they grow on me and I wouldn't want to swap mine for any other. I think they age like a fine wine and compliment the 993's looks superbly.

Thought I would post a couple of pictures now they have had new tyres fitted and I've fitted them to the car

Pete

indeed !

but they are looking good Ian, now you really need clear indicator lenses (?)

If somebody made proper clear lenses (as in a clear glass look like the headlight lenses) rather than the sort of opaque white ones I would. Just don't like the white ones that much more than the yellow to make the change.

Used the right foot to remove the tyre labels [:D]

Ian.

PS Ended up going for Pilot Sport Cups as my Summer tyre (and cleared them with the insurance company). I'll be interested to see how they get on. As long as I drive sensibly when it rains heavily I am hoping I'll like them. I've kept my old wheels and tyres for Winter.

Hi - Interesting choice of tyre - keep us updated, I'd really like to hear about them

cheers

Pete.

Thanks.

Will do on the tires. My old E has them fitted as it is a summer only car and as long as I am careful when its wet they make up for it by being fantastic in the dry. They are really a track focused tyre and I definately wouldn't use them in the winter which is why I have another set of wheels and tyres. I also expect them to wear pretty quickly but I don't do many miles in this car.

Car is set to factory M030 ride height as I bought the M030 plus HD Bilstein setup from Carnewal last year. I like the difference it has made a lot. I tried it on 18s (which were OK on the M033 suspension setup the car had before) but didn't particularly like them with M030 it so went back to 17s. Kept the 18s for future use if I ever take the car on the track.

Ian.
