Morning
Cars on all on hard standing with made up access roads so no problems there.
Seale Hayne has all its facilities inside the buildings
So all we need is umbrella to stop getting wet !!!
Ive seen the forecast but as usual it all depends on how quickly the front comes in and how quickly it moves. The only thing we cant do is put the precious cars under cover.
Cheers

Looking at the Met Ofice forecast charts for Sunday is not a pretty sight. Looks like waders and souwesters will be the order of the day. Glad I'm not judging!

Postponed.........after some deliberation. To be re-scheduled later in the year. (Just the 37mm of rain today so far..which is almost the combined total of April and May!![:(])

Come hell or high water [] didn't deter us R26ers from attending even if we did all jump in my Ford and left the Porsches all clean and dry at home.[:)] We will try and give the re-run a look depending on the date. See you again soon.[8D]

The huge amount of time and organisation that goes into an event by the Committee means that postponing any event is not taken likely. This as for the last few years has been organised in conjunction with the BMW Club. If every event was postponed just because of a weather forecast we would have cancelled the Treasure Hunt and the Drive and ride this year alone !! We would never run an event. To the best of anyones memory this is the first time in 22 years that we have had to cancel. However on many occassions R15 and visiting Members have driven through rain and adverse conditions and been forced to clean all their cars at the venue. Even then we have had high winds and rain during the day. Unfortunately yesterday saw no break in the relentless downpoor till 5.00pm and the rescheduling will now be extremely difficult with perhaps (as everyone agrreed yesterday) only one suitable date in September providing a window of opportunity.
Entrants, the judge, marshalls, the venue and trophies all were ready for the 12th June and to put all that together is planned over 12 moths. So postponing is an option we will avoid at all costs. If we had a break in the weather for even 1 hour yesterday we would have been able to run the event, that however wasnt possible.
