confessions of a 944 bodger

ok this is an idea generated by Sandpiper in the other confession thread.

What are the best/worse bodges you have made on your 944 ?

Just found this thread, and assume you mean me? [:D] Well, I already mentioned the domestic wall light switch wired direct to the battery and windscreen wipers for my old VW Polo... But I think my worst 944 bodge is gaffer tape on the washer pump. (Though it went into the garage recently for a few bits, and when I got it back they'd sorted out the fixing properly - they'd used a cable tie!!)

I am currently topping up oil occasionally and coolant regularly until I can have my water pump and rocker cover gasket replaced at my next belt change - due in a couple of months. I suppose this doesn't really count as a bodge? Best bodge would probably be a thin coating of vaseline over the sunroof seal - stopped the leaks! (I do have a new seal, but don't want to fit it until the weather warms up...)
