I remember you being confused when Jeremy tried to explain that "E by gum" was the new Yorkshire way of taking ecstacy tablets by oral injection.

Love it !! I mean the statement not E [&:]

Good Luck Peter, there would seem a lot do, I presume the communication we have seen from the current and past Boards will continue to flow, please continue to keep the members informed ...

All the best ....

PS. Someone mentioned Region of the Year ... I think R20 will take some beating[;)]

Thanks Des - I hope to be on here most days in my post as Admin and also to let you know what is developing on the board.

We are trying to get away from all this stuff about confidentiality as it really should only be about financial and staffing issues.

We will do our best. Just so happens I work on a PC most of the day and pop in now and again throughout the day.

Thanks Peter, good to know we have someone proactive here. I should have extended my good wishes to ALL the Board and new Chairman, please pass them on. In the same breath I would wish all resigned Board members and Chairman Alan Welshman well in the future, and please still enjoy the Club. The previous Board mosty co-opted and Chaiman had a real thankless task, a lot of good was done at a time when the Club was truly on it's knees, let's not forget that. Maybe it took a Chairman then with certain qualities to steer us from the brink, all really sad how it ended, not unique though, the chequrered history of deposed and resigning Chairman in the Past. I make it an average life span in the Chair of about 9 months recent years. Thanks Alan and his Board anyway.

So a new Dawn and still a huge task Peter, let's get AG back on Board with their money in full please, and keep up the Forum exposure, here to assist anyway I can .....[:D]

Rob,Peter,
I was equally confused when Jeremy referred to the "Yorkshire Moors"-I had always thought that that tribe had died out centuries ago!

Thanks Des - you have summed it up very well indeed.

All the new board wish the outgoing board the very best wishes for the future and the we all hope that they will continue their full involvement in the Club.

As for getting the money back from Reading - well that will be up to Geoff Turrells replacement. I am sure that as the weeks progress we will establish a meeting with him to discuss this and other issues.

Thanks Peter,

I would like to see the other 50% witheld by AG this year and the full amount paid on the annivesray, AW negotiated hard to even get the 50%, we keep the heritage of Porsche Alive with the older cars at great expense, promote and show throughout the UK and Europe, racing, track days, static shows, etc keeping the dream alive. For the sake of petty cash to AG, OR A 30 second slot on TV, please ask them to now respect us as we do the Marque.

It would be a great gesture of AG, they need us more .... personally I think they have got the new Boxster spot on. triffic mini Carrera GT and they have made it very different from the 991 with those side pods ... let's all move on together .... [:)]

PS. Remind AG by putting on the Silverstone Show (Saturday) last year during our 50th Anniversary Weekend has cost this club dearly about time we actually took them to task on this.

Hi Des

The funds that the club receive come from GB and i expect that they will have been based purely on a commercial decision and the finances available to them at that time.

I would hope that when we get round the table as a board, this will be one of the items that we will be revisiting as a matter of concern. My personal view is that we may have to wait and convince GB that we are indeed well on the way to recovery and stability before they will consider anew. Don't forget that we have two new guys at the top of GB to deal with now and we have to build up the relationship and trust -both ways.

I live too far from Reading to be much use on that score!

Hopefully Nick and other directors will see this thread and come in with their own posts.

Well Done Peter... looking forward to the next AGM at the shard... great night at the boxster launch for the select few [;)]
anyways until next time.... LONG LIVE THE KING
