At the PCGB AGM today I collected on behalf of you all the Sheffield Trophy for PCGB Best Region "" 2008.

Thanks to everyone who regularly helps our region put together and run the extensive calendar of events. Special thanks must be given to Assistant Regional Organisers Sue & Mac McLeod and Mick Ryan, regular helpers Dean Easterby, Fred Hindle, Barry and Jean Smith, Phil Clark, Irene Wyatt, and Janice & David Delaney, and the many others who help run events such as Woodvale Rally, Regional Concours, the many drives and lunches organised throughout the year, as well as monthly meetings.

Thanks also to R18 members who have assisted with the running of the many PCGB National events such Eynsham Hall and Brands Hatch.

I would also like to give a special thanks to Judy for all her help given to me during my years as Regional Organiser.

My thanks also go to you all throughout Lancashire & Cumbria for attending events and making Region 18 so successful, friendly, and welcoming.

David

Well done David and Judy and everyone else involved with the best run Region in the Club.

Not that I am biased, but the Region has desrved this recognition for at least 14 years!!!

sheffield trophy eh....??

glad to see where getting some good quality yorkshire metalwork into darkest lancashire [:D]

Its a good region with some people who put some hard graft in which I do appreciate...so thank you

On the negative side you do have to put up with fred and barry's sense of humour but you can't have everything ! [:D][:D][;)]

Where did you get the idea that Fred & Barry have a sense of humour?
And moreover, where has Fred been when we needed him this last week or so?[:)]

Colin,
Apologies for my absence last week. Spending time of evaluating my ability to ride the bike long distances on consecutive days. Tuesday experienced rain, sleet, snow on side of the road, blinding sunshine - a typical day in Scotland. Wednesday it was cold so had to keep stopping for coffee out of the flask.
You will be pleased to know that I didn't fall off at all.
This weekend I have been down at the Workers' Conference and the AGM, I am now an officially unpaid worker instead of an unpaid volunteer!
However, being a member of the best region in the club (which most of us knew already!) makes it all worth while - just have to get rid of some of the less desirable elements.

Cheers,

well you will go upsetting "993 Barry" by buying a 996 - there's no such thing as a good 'un, you know...

Great news for us all. Let's see if we can make it two in a row.

FERRETS RULE O.K. [:)][:)][:)][:)]

Fred, my 996 has been wholly and completely reliable in the nearly 2 years and 20000 miles I've had the pleasure of owning it apart from the replacement RMS, new engine, clutch, flywheel, front brake discs and pads, rear brake discs and pads, new battery and 6 tyres...

Rob!!! STOP IT - What are you doing!![]

You are letting the side down and I will have to report you to Richard Hamilton if you continue to berate the 996!!

Then you will be hauled before the 996 forum boys .........and ...... there will be consequences!!![:D][:D]

But what have you had to do to yours? - by the look of your avatar it's almost unrecognisable!

Are you going to the Cotswold Rally again this year? If so, see you Sunday.

Looks like BMW used the wrong presses when they stamped out the panels for Peter's car [:D]

"Aha, ve haf another order for old-shaped car panels from Porsche - let the press department know..."

Lol guys!
That was my first ever car when I was 16 - could drive it on a full motorcylce licence. Not the actual one as you may guess - but exactly the same.
Hell I had some fun in that little beasty! The girls loved it too!

Because they were safe.
The old saying
'with wine it's the vintage, with wiskey it's the blending, with a sports car (or bubble car) it's impossible.
