Convince me I'm wrong!

I had a ZMCoupe before my latest 944 - it was an absolute joy, that straight 6 is a fabulous engine. Not without it's problems though, as Tony suggests. The S50 engines are prone to regular failings of the vanos unit, the S54 is vulnerable to an occasional terminal problem. I can't remember what it was exactly, but the S54 in M3 was subject to a recall, but BMW in their infinite wisdom refused to extend the recall to the ZMCoupe, even though it's the same engine. BMW were also massively increasing the cost of their extended warranty, which pissed off many owners.
It was great fun but i must say I prefer the 944, it's a more complete and grown up car, that can be a hooligan when it wants to. There is no comparison in build quality, the Porsche is so solid and well made when compared to the tinny feel of the coupe. And at the end of the day, I could have bought 2 of my current 944's for the price I sold it for, and i got a good 'un [:)]

Yeah, buy another car and have 2. Or 3 [&:]

We had 5 at one stage (due to purchasing replacement cars before disposing of the originals [8|]), and a 4 wheel trailer the size of a small aircraft carrier. Our neighbours thought we were wonderful ..... Not!

If it's "we", then we have 4. Personally I have 3. I think I need to move before I can buy another.

As for lowering costs by buying a newer car - last summer I treated myself to a 993 and it's cost a small fortune to get it exactly right with everything working properly.

Give it one more chance and put everything right but sell it if it continues to be troublesome.

I wouldn't advertise it for sale on here! [;)]

565kgs and 160 bhp On a dry track, with the sun out, it was far better than sex.

John, I think we need to talk [:D][:D]

You either have spectacular technique in the bedroom department or haven't experienced 565kgs and 160 bhp on a dry track with the sun out. :ROFLMAO:

It's true, I haven't experienced 565kg, 160 bhp on a dry track with the sun out. To paraphrase Sherlock, when all other possibilities have been eliminated what remains, however improbable, must be true. [:)]

I'll pass this on to Jane, as she doesn't seem to be as convinced as me [;)]

I'd just like to go on record and state that my experience of 500kgs and 250bhp of Ginetta G27 is no more or less rare than my experience of sex with your wife Paul. [&:]
