Cool - ..... best part is when they turn up and don't fit ........ I had a few cider moments before ;-)
AGGGGHHHH dont say that. . . . . . . .got me double checking now. . . .

They will fit a 1982-1985 series one 944 and a 1986 series two 944, although theyll look wrong on the later car. Ensure that theyre all 7" too, as the ATS Cookie Cutter was a seventies 911 wheel originally and its available in 6" (and 5.5" although rare) too.

Oh dear. Theyll sort of fit a 1987> series two car but theyll look very wrong and the steering geo wont be great.

To quote myself from another forum/thread Ive just found: "itll be a bit Carlos Fandango"... [:D]

Uh-oh Dave, they'll stick out by a mile!

Time to send a grovelling email to the seller . . .

See the pictures in this TIPEC thread (7" & 8" x 16"):

I love the look of the cookies on early cars, but as has been said, they will look a bit iincongruous, especially with the softer lines of the S2 front, but let's wait until Swb gets back to us, then we will have the pleasure of firing facts and figures at him with regard to early and late offset.

OOOHHH. . . . .looks like i have opened a can of worms. . .
My car is a 1986 oval dash car, but has the pressed steel wishbones and no abs. The wheels that are fitted are 16" cup wheels, and they have i think, 15mm spacers on the front and 30mm on the back, so i,m assuming the early cookie cutters will fit, they are all listed as 7j. . . . .fingers crossed eh. . . .[;)],

They will fit perfectly. Theyll look a little wrong though, but itll be made up for to a greater degree by being quite smart.

These and the wheels fitted to your car originally were both 7" wide, 15" in dia., with an offset of 23mm.

Your car was built with aluminium front and rear suspension arms. Theyre dimensionally similar to the earlier Golf/924/944 series one arms though, and can be fitted when the balljoints fail on the original alloy arms (with a little bit of adaption).

Now my head is hurting, i thought the suspension on my car was the same as the square dash cars, . . . bugger. . . so what wheels would have been fitted to my car as standard. . . . i dont like teledails, and i thought as my car had the narower axle,s the cookie cutters would be fine. . . bugger again. . . .i hate cars. . . .

When you say they will look a little wrong, is that because the wheels are wrong for the car. . . .or for a different reason. . . . .my head is hurting even more. . . . BUGGER

Dimensionally the same and using wheels which are dimensionally similar. The wheels will only look 'wrong' to someone who knows that ATS Cookie Cutters only belonged on series one 944s.

Series one 944s (MY82-MY85) used steel wishbones and steel rear trailing arms. Series two 944as (introduced in September 1985 for the 1986 model year) had similar dimensions but the steel arms were replaced with amuminium. MY87 cars had different front arms and ABS was iffered as an option. These MY87> cars use a 52mm offset wheel, as opposed to the 23mm offset wheel used inthe series one and 1986 series two.
