I have booked on the Porscheclubgb Trackday at Croft on 21st August, anyone fancy joining me?

Alan.

Yes, I'm booked on this too. Only PCGB track day within half a country's drive of Scotland! This will be my first "real" track day, so firmly in the novice category.

That's great Mark, see you there, if not before.

No problem Richard, we will probably go down the Evening before and stay at B&B, go for food and couple of beers.

Alan.

Single beds i hope ??[;)][;)]

Brian, just book it and show us what the 'Spyder' is capable of. You can have a single room if you're worried.

Alan.

Details of this day are on Club website, there is an online form but I just phoned them and booked.

Will have a look at accommodation nearer the time.

Thanks for the invite but i have no doubts about the Spyders capability it is mine's that are in doubt.. May try that Kames day looks like my kind of gentle track day [;)]

It's a shorter track aswell, so you won't put too many miles on your car Brian.

Kames is a sprint/ rally track, I have watched Jimmy and Allistair McRae go round it in mk2 Escorts.

Alan.

Croft - probably a good place to start, wide enough to mean you will have to learn racing lines to go quicker. Pretty safe ie not Silverstone with acres of run off, but not Kames with very little room for error. Brian - have you seen that chicane that goes around that boulder?

Flat -Some quick stuff, corners to see how big you balls are - but wide enough and long enough to allow a fair amount of track space.

Flat - Some bumps around the braking point into Tower - might focus the mind

Flat - not a bad thing if your concerned

If I had an open top car I would go here over Kames - not only more run off - less seagulls

Wasn't suggesting Kames was a substitute for Croft rather than a day out with the chance of going round a track instead of just watching others do it . If i did it ,it would be at my pace Miss Daisy style
Not into track days but each to there own would be boring if we all liked the same .Was down at Troon area on Thursday with the DDK gang for a run and not a seagull in sight [;)]

Croft is good fun.
Only those with little imagination would describe it as boring ... [8|]
Will give it considerarion
mike

Well Mike got 2 bites [:D] [;)] not like u ( keeps the thread going) yea its ok but would rather spend my money at OPark [8D] cu G

Aye, know what you mean Gordon but with missing Oulton in July thought Croft would be a chance to try out the car with the new suspension rebuild and full set up along with new tyres all round and a major service last week?
