CROFTON[/b] BEAM ENGINE MUSEUM & WILTON WINDMILL- SUNDAY 5TH MAY[/b]

Boxster member Tom Hatfield has very kindly offered to organise a day trip to Crofton Beam Engine Station & Wilton Windmill on Sunday 5th May. Tom is himself an official tour guide at the windmill and the day would comprise of meeting in the morning for a drive to Crofton. The pumping station is the oldest in the world built in 1809 and supplies water to the Kennett & Avon Canal. It is situated in Great Bedwyn and is set high on a hill overlooking the fabulous Wiltshire countryside. From here we would then have lunch before going on to the windmill. This is the only working windmill in Wessex and still produces wholemeal stone ground flour. The cost of Crofton Steam is £6.50pp and the windmill tour is £2.50 pp. If you would like to join us for what I am sure is going to be a super day please contact me asap to show your interest. Also if you would like to attend the lunch please let me know so that we know numbers.

Tracy

Tracy,

Any chance myself and my partner Sarah and our rag top can come along?

If so count us in for lunch too.

Glenn

Hi Cliff and Tracy

I will have to bow out of Sunday's run. Sorry. If you have committed money on the strength of my previous intention, then please let me know.

Thanks

A belated thanks to Tracy and Tom for organising a really brilliant day for us on Sunday. And arranging all that sunshine for us was sheer genius too.
