Hi Greg,

Me and Helen attended our 1st meeting last night so it was good to finally meet you,Deb's and some other members of R3 club last night.

Lot's of info and interesting to hear what the guy from Teeside had to say in regard to the new dealership and loyalty card...

Can you add me and Helen to your list for the Cumbria Motor Show, I have signed up and printed off the reply that act's as your pass to the ground.

Can anyone recommend a B&B in the Bowness/Windermere area as we are travelling over on the Saturday..

Sorry I missed you and Helen last night as we couldn't make it but look forward to meeting you both soon. On the B & B front. My Sister and Nephew swear by this place near Windermere, its called High Fold Guest House, Troutbeck, Windermere, LA23 1PG . Have a look at their web site: www.highfoldbedandbreakfast.co.uk

Looks really nice too - have to book early I think.

Hi David,

Thanks for the link for High Fold, looks nice but unfortunately they are fully booked for Saturday 13th.

We have found most of the B&Bs only take bookings for a minimum of 2 nights.

Hi Gary - That's a shame - I know its very popular this place and gets booked up quickly in advance. Try The Station Inn at Oxenholme, nr Kendal, tel: 01539 724094, as of this morning they have 3 rooms available. Karen and I have stayed here a couple of years ago for 1 night only and its not bad, Pub is really good and food also. Not far from Crooklands too.

Because of the difficulty of setting up the Club stand and arranging our cars, Mike Trotter and his team has asked for us to arrive around 9.00am if possible. With this in mind I would ask anyone who wishes to travel in convoy via the A69 meet at Hexham services NE46 4DL for 7.30am leaving at 7.45am I apologise for the early start but with support from Porsche Cars GB and our very own Club hospitality stand it promises to be an exciting place to be.

If anyone is planning on heading via the A66 and would like to suggest a meeting point for those heading across from further South of the region please add ideas to this thread, alternatively we will meet you at the show ground hopefully as close to 9.00am as possible.

Please note that although the show opens at 11.00 I am reliably informed that if you arrive after 10.00am the queues can be long to gain access. We have over 100 PCGB cars registered, so you can imagine it will take time to marshal us all into place.

 
Suggest the Southern R3's meet at Cross Lanes Organic Cafe on the A66 (met here for The Cobwebs).

Meet 7.45am , saddle up and leave 8am . We should arrive at showground c 9am.
