Current prices...

So I guess we should, for posterities sake, have a thread that tracks the sales prices of our cars so we can look back and laugh at how cheap they were/ how much of a bubble it was. Shall we try and avoid discussion of the previous statement and just see if we can keep track of where things are at a current?

I'll open:
50,000km white 964 RS (carpet?) sold at Artcurial on Nov 2nd for Euro 253,000?

How does this rate to other recent transactions we're aware of?

Cheers
Rick

Looks like prices have taken a hike again if that is representative of the market.

I guess that Essen asking prices will be the next checkpoint......

I can't get even close to those prices. Any recommendations on where to sell, are auctions the way to go?

I think, Mr. Schmitz is the man who knows...

Those, who want a good car and are ready to pay the current prices (maybe + a premium), will check the well known dealer addresses for appropriate offers.
IMHO being an exhibitor in Essen will probably help also. There were some dealers this year offering RSs in the range of 200k EURO +. (Mr. Schmitz, Mr. Wolbert, Early 911 (GE)). And as I hear the sold signs were not political, rumour has it that after Essen some more RSs were sold for even more money than the Essen prices of 2014.

Pannhorst Classic is also trying to catch up:

Hi Hacki, makes sense. I would have hoped I'd be known for knowing my RSs, especially since I've sold hundreds of them and I'd suggest more than any other dealer in the UK for sure. I've been called upon to help 2 unfortunate owners with expert witness reports with successful legal cases for compensation on dodgy cars, and have seen others that are just not real. These cars are still out there, so buyers need to have their own knowledge or pay for someone who does.

Thanks, Paul. Yes, that´s how it works as it looks. Another dealer I use to talk to from time to time (Essen normally) says the problem is to find good cars. That´s what other dealers say, too - no good cars available and some junk out there.

No idea what´s it like in the UK - a potential and serious customer here will check Tom Schmitz, Ande Votteler and maybe some other addresses. That´s it. Once you´re in that circle as a dealer, you´ll sell for decent money. They all are Essen regulars btw.

Have you checked mobile.de recently for (real) 964 RSs? Be prepared!

Rgds,

Hacki

Hi Hacki, yes I always check mobile.de, but that's not the same as checking the car. There's at least one with dealer described as accident free, but its my old personal car with 2 wings replaced. I have a few of my own real RSs for sale. 3 x 964 and 3 x 993.

Paul , I would think you certainly are the most well known "RS specialist" within the UK. I can't think of another in the UK that deals almost exclusively in RS. There are others that sell the odd car here and there but none i can think of with the volume or scope.

I'm regularly contacted by people worldwide wishing to buy and sell these cars and wanting to know where is the best place to do so. Naturally I point them in the direction of the dealers that help me most with the database. [:)]

Odd the Pannhorst car has wrong redline marking on the rev counter?

Well spotted! That car has a history anyway - Martin?

It was 1 of the 20 N-GTs originally imported to Japan by ArtSports. I've checked photos of the other cars and this is the only one with a different redline. As Hacki says, well spotted. The clocks have been refurbed but the original rev counter was the same so I can't answer that one. [8|]
