It's a Lightweight, Simon, not a Touring. [8|]

What a plus for the buyer then, built on a RS chassis with no heavy wiring loom and lightweight water bottle:ROFLMAO:[:D][:)][;)][;)]

I'm regularly contacted by people worldwide wishing to buy and sell these cars and wanting to know where is the best place to do so. Naturally I point them in the direction of the dealers that help me most with the database. [:)]

That's not the most logical approach to recommendation. A customer once used a dealer you recommended and had a horrific experience.

Simon if only the carpet was the main concern. What I saw is not for forums.

Looks like it has central locking too?

???

P.S.: Wo befinden Sie sich zur Zeit, Herr Richard?

It has the tell-tale middle button in the centre console for central locking.

Wir sind in England bis Februar 2015, Herr Spitfire.

Thanks, Rich. I mixed it up with centre locks (you know my poor English) - the thought of an RS with central locking was too far away to even think about it.

What about a visit here:

Great show, I´ve been there the recent years and it´s an easy trip from my home. Beer, food, wine and an appropriate accomodation (you know it!) will be ready.

Vielleicht klappt es ja, Herr Leutnant.

Very nice and I don't feel mistaken in posting this in the 964 RS section, maybe because there isn't a 965 RS sub forum? [8D]

I can remember when these were around £80k for a Lhd car, can't be much more than 10 years ago! [:D]

The database shows two cars with chassis number 490443?

At the time of creating the entry for 0443 there was a dubious 'second car'. This was cleared up a short while after but I'd neglected to delete the double entry. Done now. Thanks for the heads up. [;)]

That seems a bit cheap! Very rare! But is it so much different / slower / rarer than the Alzen?

These current prices do seem a little 'bullish'.

Was up for sale 8 + years ago for double my Touring.

Checking mobile.de on a December morning just made me think....

Low milers RS and an original Cup now close to or north of 300k EURO, good RSs, which used to be 90k to 100k EURO four years ago have doubled their prices.
It looks, as if prices are still rising?

The sworn valuers must be very busy at the moment,

Hacki

I have tended to be more buy n hold blue chips Des, you are the expert at flipping.

There have been some fun cars along the way, funny now looking back at some of the prices paid and where they are now...who knew?! [:D]
