Day trip

With the forecast for sun, we took the 992 from home in Malmesbury for a quick motorway dash over the severn Crossing into Wales. Then a bit of a plod with a lot more 50mph sections of the A449 and A40 than I remember to the Brecons followed by a great drive across to Brecon, Landovery and cross country to Aberystwyth for a panini on the beach front.

Return through Builth wells, Bronllys, Crickhowell, Abergavenny and home.

330 miles and an enjoyable opportunity to stretch our collective legs.

Have you had a chance to get out and about?

I've done all the bits of that route in Wales many times on a bike. Mid Wales has some great roads. And just to be a little pedantic it's Llandovery not Landovery - I should know as I was at school there for 6 years!

Typing error rather than a major slight on your school, Philip [:D]
Great roads indeed.

Hi Peter,
Hope both you and Lesley are well.
I am about to tax my GT4 today having had it sorn over lockdown and looking forward to giving it a run.
PCGB events coming up soon and a couple of track days booked so hopefully we will be able to meet up soon.
My 2nd jab next week so by the end of the month should have as much protection as possible and can start to enjoy the summer with confidence.
How are you enjoying the car, I had the use of a 992S when mine went into Porsche last November and was very impressed I thought it drove beautifully and it was plenty fast enough.
About time for another road trip, what do you think. [:)]

Agreed Geoff. 2nd jab this morning so all good! By the way, doctor said 3 days after second Pfizer jab 'maximum protection' [:)]

C2S is great fun, more than enough for our roads today, less and less opportunity to enjoy them sadly. Be in touch.

Hi Peter
glad you’re still enjoying the 992
ive been vaccinating since end January so even more clued up on jabs than in my 35+ yrs as NHS consultant- I think your doc meant 3 Weeks not days,as that’s how long immunity actually takes after each jab
still you’ll be fine in time for plenty of summer drives
all the best
dylan

Hi Dylan, he was quoting some recent research and was definitely 3 days, but what do I know[:D]

Our drive this weekend coming, both days are full I am afraid with reserve list Due to the max of 30 people per drive.

Here is the route for our picnic drive. Did the reccie before Christmas. Good road
